Ultra Berm Builder Details
The Ultra Spill Berm Builder and Berm Builder Plus allow you to have spill containment spill protection for heavy, large, and hard to move equipment and machinery in your facility. The Ultra Berm Builder (Standard Model) is made from cut-to-length vinyl covering open-cell foam. The berm is secured to the floor with sealant, then the seams are sealed with a vinyl adhesive. The Ultra Berm Builder Plus is also made of open-cell foam wrapped in vinyl. However, while the Ultra Berm Builder plus is secured to the floor with sealant, it is reinforced with pre-drilled aluminum mounting strips and steel anchors. For the Ultra Berm Builder Plus Model, the sealant is not included, but the mounting strips and the steel anchors are included. The plus model is built to have additional ruggedness that you might find useful on your jobsite or facility if you deal with a lot of foot traffic and forklift traffic. The Ultra Berm Builder Plus is a more permanent installation that can withstand traffic from trucks, forklifts, and other vehicles. It is recommended that the standard model of the Ultra Berm Builder can be stepped on and driven over with light equipment. Ultra Spill Berm Builder and Berm Builder Plus Applications
The Ultra Rubber Spill Berm Builder and Berm Builder Plus are made for flat, smooth, sealed surfaces. This is to allow the vinyl and sealant to adhere evenly to the ground to create a true seal so no liquids will leave the containment area. These spill containment devices are great for indoor spill containment needs where heavy machinery and equipment cannot be easily moved into or on top of a traditional spill containment berm. The Ultra Berm Builder are for more temporary spill containment applications and Ultra Berm Builder Plus is for more permanent spill containment needs and applications. The Ultra Spill Berm Builder and Berm Builder Plus lets you drive over the walls of the berm if need be, having full access to the spill containment area. The foam walls can also be stepped on. For facilities and locations with sealed, flat, hard floors, using the Ultra Berm Builder and Ultra Berm Builder Plus to create custom spill containment areas that fit your layout and your machinery.
Spill Containment Barriers FAQs
While the Ultra Berm Builder and Ultra Berm Builder Plus are meant to be more of a permanent spill containment berm area, it can be removed if you'd like to remove it. The standard Ultra Berm Builder can be removed with a flat-bladed shovel. The Ultra Berm Builder Plus can be removed by first removing the screws in the mounting strips and then using a flat-bladed shovel to remove the vinyl portion of the berm.
You can use the Ultra Berm Builder and Ultra Berm Builder Plus on flat, hard surfaces that are smooth and free of obstructions. Usually this concrete, asphalt, and most sealed areas.
