Type 2 Silt Curtain
Floating Turbidity Curtain for Moving Waters
Type 2 turbidity curtains, also called silt curtains or sediment barriers, are used in rivers, lakes, tidal areas, and other slow-moving water. These floating silt curtains help control turbidity and contain suspended sediment during construction and dredging projects.
Curtains are available in DOT compliant and Economy (Contractor grade) models with Permeable or Impermeable skirts. Each model helps meet project regulations for short-term or long-term use.

Type 2 Silt Curtain Details
Type 2 turbidity curtains are used to control turbidity and contain sediment in slow-moving water like rivers, streams, and tidal areas. They are available in DOT compliant and Economy (Contractor grade) models. Choose impermeable skirts to block all water flow or permeable skirts to allow controlled movement while filtering out suspended particles.
All models come in standard or customizable options and include DOT compliant styles that help meet local and state regulations. Panels are easy to install in 50 or 100 foot sections with depths from 3 to 50 feet. For all your short-term jobs or long-term containment, Type 2 turbidity curtains provide a reliable barrier for sediment control in moving water.
