TYPE 2 SILT CURTAIN DETAILS

Type 2 DOT Silt Curtain Design Details

Type 2 turbidity curtain, the contractor model, is the least expensive of the sediment curtain types offered by One Clarion. They are designed to fit the need for a short-term solution near flowing streams or creeks with lower silt levels. Type 2 turbidity curtain contractor model will prevent your project dust and dirt from spreading downstream. Made from a lighter weight 13 oz fabric and 4-inch floatation devices, this style silt curtain still maintains our high quality standards for your project. Standard lengths available are 50 and 100 feet with a standard depth of between 3 and 10 feet. Need pricing? No problem! Simply call our knowledgeable team at 863-261-8388.

Type 2 Contractor Silt Curtain Design Details

The One Clarion type 2 permeable silt curtain has been designed for moving water up to 1 knot in speed. When the current starts to put pressure on the turbidity curtain, the geotextile panel allows water to filter through while containing the sediment. The permeable silt curtain design features a special 22 oz PVC frame and a monofilament center fabric. It is available with 6, 8, or 12 inch floats and has a standard depth of 3 to 100 feet and standard length of either 50 or 100 feet.

Type 2 Permeable Silt Curtain Design Details

One Clarion's Permeable type 1 silt curtain is different than our other models in how it filters materials. The permeable type 1 turbidity curtain is made from a non woven geotextile fabric instead of the usual PVC fabric. This provides filtering along the length of the silt curtain, filtering turbidity and silt while still allowing a limited amount of water to flow through the curtain skirt. This silt barrier is perfect for calm water applications requiring a shorter length of containment.

A type 2 silt curtain contains turbidity and suspended sediment in these areas while acting as a floating barrier, keeping your site in compliance by controlling turbidity and displaced sediment. One Clarion provides reliable sediment curtain that is manufactured using only the most robust components.

Type 2 Turbidity Curtain Applications

The type 2 turbidity curtain helps with silt and sediment control in moving water locations. Many cities and counties have lakes or rivers with waves, tides, and currents. The One Clarion type 2 silt curtain is the perfect solution for these types of applications. The silt curtain design mimics a floating barrier to prevent silt and sediment from contaminating these types of flowing waters, preventing local business or governments from fines or other penalties.

The type 2 silt curtain models require deployment and installation. Additional components may also be necessary to operate at their maximum efficiency.
