How to Install a Drain Guard Catch Basin Insert
Installing a Drain Guard in a catch basin is simple and requires minimal tools:
Step 1: Remove Grate
With two people or a lifting tool, carefully remove the storm drain grate.
Step 2: Insert the Drain Guard
Place the Drain Guard catch basin insert inside the drain opening. Allow any excess material to remain around the edges, it can provide helpful pre-filtration.
Step 3: Replace Grate
Reposition the grate securely over the Drain Guard. The grate will hold the insert in place.
That's it, your Drain Guard is now ready to filter sediment, debris, and pollutants!
